Perfect World Ice Cream Stocked in Ocado from November 2014
Perfect World, the UK’s first no added sugar, non-dairy and wheat-free ice cream will be available at Ocado from November – that’s ice cream delivered directly to your front door! Perfect World is made from a blend of nutritious nuts and sweeteners from natural sources, so you get all the creaminess and sweetness of ice-cream but low saturated fats and very low sugar content – ideal for healthy, cosy nights in this winter.
The Perfect World ice cream range includes delicious flavours to suit the whole family; Belgian Chocolate Brownie, Loads of Strawberry, Banana Walnut Chip and A Taste of Carrot Cake, and are available in two sizes 120ml (£1.79) and 500ml (£4.79).
An introductory offer of 25% off means ice cream fans can get their hands on Perfect World for just £3.59 (500ml) or £1.34 (120ml). Throughout the month of December, Ocado shoppers will also be able to get two for £7 (500ml) or two for £2.50 (120ml) which is ‘perfect’ for Christmas pairings, such as warm mince pies with A Taste of Carrot Cake and stollen with Belgian Chocolate Brownie.
Some of the other health benefits of Perfect World
- More unsaturated fats, less saturated fats
- High in vitamin E, and a natural source of vitamins and minerals (varies by flavour)
- A source of dietary fibre
- The protein and phosphorous in the nuts contribute to the development of normal bones and teeth in children
- Good for your teeth thanks to the naturally derived sweetener, Xylitol, which prevents cavities and reduces plaque
Chris Conklin, who spent five years developing the Perfect World product range, starting on his kitchen table, says: “We’re very excited to launch Perfect World at Ocado this November and can’t wait for more people to try our ice cream alternative. We know frozen dessert fans love a bit of luxury, so now they can get that and our health benefits at the same time! Our range of flavours will suit the whole family and are great to pair with other seasonal favourites, my personal choice is Christmas pud and Banana and Walnut Chip!”
